GM Nightshine PHOTOLUMINESCENT CRYSTALS are a special kind of crystal, which absorbs and stores light energy when excited by natural or artificial light sources such as fluorescent light, U.V Light, sunlight, etc. ( They absorb and store then Glow in the Dark ) Once excited, they will gradually and continuously release absorbed energy in the form of visible light for a certain period of time even after the excitation sources are removed. This ability to emit light for many hours at a time in Total Darkness is an amazing feature of our PHOTOLUMINESCENT CRYSTALS. Our crystals are a new generation of light storage material. Completely Non Radioactive. It’s inert components insure a safe, significant long and brilliant afterglow and long service life, which makes them an ideal light storage material for many Domestic, Industrial, Military, Medical, Commercial ,Civic and Novelty applications. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. No Radioactive Components GM Nightshine RDX90 - CRYSTALS Do not contain any radioactive elements. Significantly Long-Emission Time : When illuminated for about 10 minutes by a light source such as a low fluorescent lamp, it can continuously emit light for many hours at a visible luminance even after the light sources are removed, though gradually reducing. Remarkably Higher Brilliance: The initial brilliance of GM Nightshine’s RDX90 Crystals can reach more than 22000+ mcd/m2 immediately after the exciting source is removed. The attenuation of its brilliance with time is relatively slower compared with other light storage materials. Extremely Long Service Life: GM Nightshine’s RDX90 CRYSTALS can repeatedly absorb energy and emit visible light for over 10 years without any perceivable change of its properties. Excellent Stability of Physical and Chemical Properties : RDX90 CRYSTALS can be used under temperatures ranging from as high as +500 C to as low as -20 C without deterioration of its light emission function. (Temperatures lower than -20C have not yet been experienced). GM Nightshine RDX90 CRYSTALS can resist strong ultraviolet radiation. It will suffer no discoloration nor luminance reduction even under a 300w high pressure mercury lamp for 1000 hours. (at 35C - 40C, 80% humidity). Also, GM Nightshine CRYSTALS are resistant to almost all chemicals. Its extremely stable physical and chemical properties makes them suitable to be used outdoor or under bad environmental conditions. Fine Particles: GM Nightshine RDX90 CRYSTALS can consist of fine particles , it can easily be mixed with ink, paint or plastic materials for a great variety of practical uses.
Typical Luminescent Properties GM Nightshine RDX90 PRODUCTS are characterized by their ability to absorb and store natural or artificial light and then emmit in the form of visible light when in the dark.(Glow in the Dark) The cycle of absorbing , storing, and emitting will repeat itself over many years, maintenance free, without the need for batteries or a separate power supply. COLOUR Body colour of GM Nightshine RDX90 PRODUCTS are light yellow to light cream. Coloured GM Nightshine RDX90 i.e. blue , green , yellow ,orange ,Pink and Other colours are available on request.
EMISSION COLOUR The emission colour of GM Nightshine RDX PRODUCTS are yellowish green, which is the colour brightest to the human eye. The Emission colours of the coloured products are close to their body colours but the Glow brightness is lower.
PHOSPHORESCENCE. AFTERGLOW Afterglow of GM Nightshine RDX PRODUCTS will remain visible in the dark for some hours , but is dependent on the source and intensity of excitation energy , ambient light , dark adaption of the eyes , area of and distance from the Product etc. General Note: There are many Grades of Photoluminescent Crystals which some have different attributes to others.
